General Information


  • Friday, July 23th - July 31st 

  • Demo Day:  Wednesday, August 3rd. Teams will have the opportunity to pitch to venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm


  • Virtual sessions


  • Undergraduate and graduate students interested in getting involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and enthusiastic to develop their skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship.


  • Investment includes access to the e-book Disciplined Entrepreneurship: 24 Steps to a Successful Startup and diploma of participation.

* All students must be granted admission by a selection committee before making payment.


 Minimum requirements:

  • English understanding.

  • Currently enrolled in an academic program* at ITAM (or at a participating university) or already an ITAM Graduate (max 2020). Students from other specific universities have been invited to participate. If you wish to participate but have not received an invitation, please send an email to

  • Interested in Entrepreneurship and in developing a high impact project.

  • Able to work on a multidisciplinary team with students from a variety of universities.

  • Full-time availability during the entire program (July 23th - July 31st, with a Demo Day on August 3rd).

  • We strongly encourage students to form new teams and to develop new ideas. However, if you already have a team or have a specific idea you wish to develop, please send an email to An interview will be scheduled and a committee will determine your eligibility on a case by case basis.

*Bachelor's or Master degree. 

General Structure

  • Teams of 4 to 5 students will be formed. Each team must be comprised of students from at least 3 different universities and/or academic programs.

  • The academic program is based on Bill Aulet’s Disciplined Entrepreneurship methodology.

  • The methodology will be taught by Will Sanchez, Entrepreneur in Residence at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship

  • The objective of this course is to teach students how to develop an entrepreneurial project. Students will design a product or service, identify their target market and technical requirements, and outline a financial plan. 

  • Each team will be assigned one or two mentors. 

  • A Demo Day will be held in front of investors, entrepreneurs, and members of the EPIC Lab Advisory Board. 

  • Languages of instruction: English and Spanish.
