Using Google Maps, Twitter, Twilio and many more as examples, this workshop will teach you how different IT systems ("Information Technology") can be linked to generate incredibly useful tools that are used every day on the Internet.

How to take part?

IMPORTANT:  This is a workshop for beginners in programming, it is not necessary that you already know how to program! You don't have to bring your laptop either!

What are we going to do?

• Discover the basics of Web APIs: what they are, how they work and why they are important
• Learn about examples of web APIs, such as Google Maps, Twitter, and Twilio, and demonstrate how they can be used
• Webhooks
• Zapier
• Discover how APIs create amazing tools that we use every day on the internet
