With its origins in the Historic Center of Mexico City and over a hundred years of history, El Palacio de Hierro is one of the most prestigious department chains in the country.
Its foundation dates back to 1891, when J. Tron y Cía. they establish the first store, standing out for being one of the most luxurious of its time; with iron and steel structures inside, inspired by stores in Paris, New York, London and Chicago.
Currently El Palacio de Hierro is one of the most valuable retail brands in the country, with an estimated value of 317 million dollars, according to the Brand Finance 50, 2018.
In this talk we will have the participation of Ángela Gómez Aiza, Chief Innovation Officer of El Palacio de Hierro, who will tell us about the trends and panorama of Retail in Mexico and about the strategies that Palacio de Hierro identifies to face the challenges and opportunities in this industry.
